Our Budget Hotel Awards are intended to reveal the best budget hotels in the United States and Canada.

In general, we consider all 2-, 2.5- and 3-star hotels as budget hotels. Hotels are awarded based on the customer reviews they have received over the past 24 months. We aggregate these reviews from TripAdvisor and various other leading hotel-booking sites. The essential election criterion is the category ‘Value for Money.’

For each destination, we award, in general, two hotels in each of its main neighborhoods/districts.
