About the Methodology
The survey compared 20 destinations in Maryland, mainly selected based on the total number of hotel rooms. For each destination, the price for the cheapest available double room was established for the following time periods: July 10–13, July 22–25, Aug. 8–11 and Aug. 24–27. Based on that data, an average nightly price was established for each destination. Only centrally-located hotels rated at least 3 stars were included the survey. Rates were established at the end of June based on research conducted on the hotel comparison website Kayak.Press Contact
