Daytona Beach’s boardwalk is Florida fun at its finest, with rides, arcades and sandy shores all within a stone’s throw – not to mention plenty of great places to stay, including the Boardwalk Inn & Suites. Here’s our review below.
Location
With Daytona Boardwalk and Daytona Beach Pier just a few minutes away on foot, this beachfront hotel places you at the heart of the action. As well as having sand, surf and seaside amenities on your doorstep, you’re also within easy reach of shops and restaurants. For attractions beyond the boardwalk, Daytona Lagoon water park is a brisk 10-minute walk and, venturing further, Ponce Inlet is also comfortably reachable by road.
Amenities
As well as all of the attractions to be found close by, the hotel itself has plenty of its own appeal. Guests can make use of direct beach access, or for those who prefer to avoid sand in their room there’s also an outdoor pool located on-site. Other services and facilities include a bar, a well-equipped fitness centre and 24-hour reception, while guests arriving in their own transport can make use of free covered parking.

The hotel has over 100 guest rooms in total, including standard rooms with city views, ocean-front rooms and suites. The décor is fairly uniform in each and could be described as bright coastal in style, with a beach-themed aesthetic and light colours. There are plenty of in-room conveniences, including a flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee-maker. Some rooms also have balconies or walk-out patios to make the most of the views.

Reviews: Boardwalk Inn and Suites, Daytona Beach
Guests rate Boardwalk Inn & Suites a very good 8.2 overall, with the helpful staff earning a strong 8.8. Location is the standout feature at 9.2, placing guests close to the heart of Daytona Beach and its bustling boardwalk. Cleanliness and comfort both score 8.5, while the hotel’s facilities, at 8.2, are also a plus point. Value for money, rated 8.4, is another strong score, and free WiFi, at 8.8, is well received.
Rates
As you’d expect for a hotel in a prime tourist location, room rates at Boardwalk Inn & Suites differ throughout the year, with substantial shifts between low and high seasons. Travellers visiting from June to September can often secure the best rates, with around $82 per night fairly standard during this time of year. Weekends and the Christmas and spring break periods often see the strongest demand, with prices sometimes edging as high as several hundred dollars per night.
Final Evaluation
Our overall evaluation of Boardwalk Inn & Suites is that if your priority is location but want to avoid blowing the budget on a prime spot, then you won’t find many better options in the area. You might find cheaper hotels nearby, but for it combination of access to attractions, plus comfort and amenities, it certainly represents value for money. Being able to go from room or lobby to sand in just seconds is a fabulous feature and the outdoor pool is a major bonus too, as it offers a change of scenery if the beach loses its novelty factor. In conclusion, we’d highly recommend this hotel for an affordable Daytona Beach stay.
