While country music performances are the main draw, the festival celebrates the all-around lifestyle that comes with being a country music fan, with Western-themed attractions, country-inspired culinary delights and plenty of beer and wine.
“Santa Rosa’s spectacular scenery and beautiful climate make it an ideal setting for three epic days featuring 13 of today’s biggest country music stars,” says Alan Jacoby, executive producer of Country Summer. “The event was a huge success in 2014, and it’s even bigger and better this year.”
The Country Summer festival is very special to Jacoby — it’s his dream come true. “Sonoma Media Group, the owner of Sonoma County’s country radio station Froggy 92.9, and I had a vision to create the biggest and best country music festival in all of Northern California,” he says. “Last year, that vision became a reality exceeding festival-goers expectations. This year, we’ve expanded to three days and are amped up about putting on a blockbuster event attracting country music fans from across the nation and several foreign countries.”
Only in its inaugural year, last year’s Saturday event sold out, and Country Summer 2015 is expected to be even bigger. New in 2015 is an expanded Food Court and, between headliners on the Montgomery Village Stage, there’ll be a secondary stage featuring local musicians and groups from around Northern California.
“Our powerful lineup of entertainers is the biggest highlight — headliners Jake Owen on Friday, The Band Perry on Saturday and Brantley Gilbert on Sunday, plus 10 other top-notch musicians, many who are currently topping the charts,” Jacoby says. “The fans’ favorite Fender Contender Challenge winner, Jared Porter from Australia, opens the show.”
If this fabulous lineup doesn’t have you pack your bags for Northern California already, the executive producer has one more thing to say: “It’s a colossal entertainment experience in beautiful Santa Rosa, and tickets are still available.”
